In the frozen section you’ll find whole green beans as well as “Frenched” green beans, which are cut into thin strips. You’ll still get that lovely green flavor from the beans, and a nice crisp texture. Lengthiest prep time, of course, so if you’re just looking to quickly elevate this recipe, skip the can and go for frozen green beans, which have been previously blanched and then flash frozen. Because 2 of the 3 components can be made a day or two in advance, this eases some of the Thanksgiving Day cooking responsibilities.
